Plot[]

That night, a very familiar person is approaching the the clearing. He heads right into the secret circle where The Midnight Society meets. The person is no other than Tucker's older brother Gary, the original president of The group. Gary calls out to ask if he can join them for old time sake, explaining that it'll be all right because he's Tucker's older brother and he used to be in charge.

However, only a small waif kid seems to be there, and seem to be focused on the campfire. Then he gets closer, and notices the changes (such as the old furniture) and remarks about them. He tries to get the kid's attention. Then suddenly the waif kid turns around to face him and snarls. The Waif Kid reveals his frightening ghoulish face. Gary backs off terrified and makes a run for it. Then as he's running away, he bumps into his Grandfather Gene. Gene seems terrified and he's crying for his help. Gary then wakes up from his nightmare in shock. Then he gets a phone call from his Grandma Aggie to find out that his Grandpa just died from a heart attack.

Then later that day, Gary goes over to console his upset Grandma. She explains that Grandpa Gene wasn't even sick. He came home the other day and something scared him. She explains that she tried to calm him down, but she couldn't. He was so angry and so scared that his heart gave out. Skeptically she says it seemed to have something to do with him. Something important he needed to tell him. She explains Grandpa Gene was a wonderful man who loved telling stories. She then explains that he was very serious, to see to it that he got his piece of a broken record and his last story. The piece reads: "Listen to the music"

Then Tucker comes by to console their Grandma as well. When Gary reads the incomplete story, he realizes it was from his dream and it's actually happening. Gary realizes they need to figure things out. Therefore he decides to show up to tonight's meeting.

That night, Quinn says that their grandfather was the one who started The Midnight Society. Gary reveals that in 1937 Gene and his friends formed the first group. They cleared the woods, built the fire pit, the original seats and the storyteller's chair. Tucker then reveals there had been a Midnight Society coming to it ever since it started. Andy is amazed to picture all of the stories that had ever been told there. Megan tells Gary that she bets their Grandfather told great stories.

Then as the group sits down, Gary takes out the paper. He explains that before his grandpa died he was writing his last story. A story that will be the most amazing story that The Midnight Society will ever hear. The story began over sixty years ago, but it isn't finished (because he needs the current Midnight Society to finish it). The story is about five best friends who found a charm in a magic shop. They thought it was a good luck charm. Soon enough they found out that it all gave them was bad luck. Vange is excited saying it's a good start and to keep going. Gary continues explaining that the charm was called The Silver Sight, which held powerful black magic. When they found out it was evil, they tried to get rid of it, only they didn't know how. Then soon enough, horrible things started happening. All because one of the friends betrayed the group by using the charm for evil.

Therefore, another one of the friends took the charm and hid it. He gave each of the others one clue to reveal where he hid it. They figured they'd have to put all their clues together to find it, and working together is the only way to destroy it once and for all. Gary then explains that back in that time, there were no Compact Discs or Audio cassette tapes yet. Therefore the person made a record. He broke it into five pieces with a clue written down on each piece. Then he gave each of his friends a piece and kept one for himself. To find it they would have to put all the pieces back together and listen to it. Quinn then asks the obvious question, of why they don't just go find the person who hid it. Tucker then explains they can't, because the person who hid it died the next day.

Then suddenly Megan figures out that it's not just a story and gets them to admit it. Tucker confesses that it really did happen. So he shows them Gene's piece as proof, this horrifies everyone. Gary explains that the first Midnight Society disbanded after hiding The Silver Sight. Therefore it has been hidden all these years. That was until the other day, something involving it scared Grandpa Gene so bad he had a heart attack. Grandpa Gene left him a note. It explaining that they have to track down the old Midnight Society. Then get their record pieces and locate The Silver Sight. Then destroy it, as it should have been done years ago.

Tucker's Midnight Society is scared and confused. So Gary explains that they are the only group that can be trusted. So each of them needs to track down a member. Gary gives them the four names. Andy and Vange are assigned to work together while the others are assigned to find the record pieces. When they have them all, he and Tucker will confront and try to destroy the Silver Sight. Then find out what happened to their Grandpa. Gary can't guarantee that one of them won't encounter the group traitor. So he allows them to only help upon their own free will. Quinn, Andy, Megan and Vange are terrified. However they still agree to help. Gary arranges for them all to meet him at his dorm room the next door to discuss their progress.

On their way out, Andy reminds Gary for the sake of tradition he really should give this story a title. Gary for the first time in years, takes a handful of non-dairy creamer, to intensify the fire and throws it in. Then to everyone's shock the fire goes out. They all are shocked because that has never happened before, and they all leave.

Then just after they leave the waif kid appears. He begins to laugh diabolically as he makes the fire come back. Then suddenly the title appears which is: The Tale of the Silver Sight.

Plot I: The General[]

The plot begins with Gary and Tucker visiting the oldest member of the original Midnight Society: Laing Candle. The man is referred to as General. The man is a rich wheelchair bound war hero. He lives in a big mansion. He invites them both in, almost as if he had been expecting them. He comments to them about how much they both resemble their grandfather. The General expresses his condolences to hear that their grandfather just died. He also happily mentions that he was indeed a member of the Midnight Society. Then he gives them a copy of a black and white photo of the the 1937 Midnight Society as a souvenir.

Gary gets to the point of their visit. He explains that they've come to ask him about the silver sight. Since it was their grandfather's last request was for them to track it down and destroy it. Just mentioning the silver sight, scares the General out of his skin. The General says it's the devil's tool and to stay away from it. They explain that they can't, because they need to track down all the record pieces and find it. Also they ask if they can be given his piece of the record as well. The General seems very nervous, warning them not to touch it but if they must, he'll find his piece for them. Then he asks them to come back a little later, so he can find it. When they leave The General warns them, that no one who has ever touched the silver sight has emerged undamaged. Then on their way out, Tucker notices the creepy waif kid in the tattered old-fashioned clothing instantly appearing out of nowhere and then vanishing.

Then we see Grandma Aggie. She is calming herself down by reminiscing through all photographs. When suddenly some unknown person enters her house. She hears it and calls out the names of both her grandsons, but gets no answer. Then she heads downstairs to see who it is. Then suddenly she encounters the person and it is an intruder. The intruder is masked and concealed in complete black attire. The intruder chases her all the way to her bedroom. She is horrified and locks herself in and she's trembling and sobbing.

Meanwhile, at Gary's Dorm room, the group meets back to discuss their progress so far. The group think Megan stinks because she's been searching in a sewer. Tucker shows them the cool 1937 photograph. Gary asks how Andy and Vange are doing. Andy explains their having difficulty. They've checked the library, search the web and called places but they can't find any record of Bruce McGorrill. Gary encourages them to keep trying, because they're bound to find something if they keep on trying.

Then suddenly Gary answers the phone. It is Grandma Aggie and she's so scared that she's almost in shock. She informs that that someone had broken into her house and she's afraid he's gonna harm her. Then suddenly the phone line cuts off. Then the intruder tries to break down her bedroom door. Gary senses the danger. So he and Tucker run over immediately. When they arrive, the intruder is gone. Grandma Aggie is upset because her whole house been torn apart and the intruder kept screaming at her demanding Gene's piece of the record. Aggie demands to know what's so important about a piece of broken record. Therefore, with Gary being in a hurry, he gives her Grandpa Gene's story to let herself find out.

Tucker returns to General Candle's estate to see if he's found his piece of the record yet. Tucker knocks on the door and calls out repeatedly, but The General doesn't seem to be home. Then suddenly, the creepy Waif Kid appears. He offers to open the door for him. Then suddenly much to Tucker's surprise, the door is opened. So he lets himself in.

Tucker searches a couple rooms looking for the General, but he doesn't find him. Then in a study, he accidentally knocks over a small statue which creeps him out. Then he gets startled as he bumps into Quinn. They are both shocked to see each other in the same place. So they wonder what they are both doing there. Quinn takes a portrait off The General's wall. He compares it to the 1937 photograph and asks Tucker if it's Donna Tilton. Tucker confirms to him that it is. So Quinn leaves with the picture. Tucker says he can't just take it. Then Quinn says yes he can because it doesn't belong to The General. Also that he will explain later.

Then behind a desk, The Waif Kid appears. He treats the whole ordeal that he and his friends are going through like it's a game. He states that Tucker shouldn't be playing. Because he just didn't feel he's good enough to handle the power. The Waif Kid then instructs Tucker to go into a certain room, if he insists to keep on trying. Tucker is stumped and slowly enters the room.

The room has a collection of statues from different historic time periods. Then looking carefully, at the end of the room on a cushion on top of a pedestal, is The General's piece of the record. Tucker walks slowly through the two rows of statues. Then suddenly, the statue of a medieval Knight's armor comes to life and starts fighting him. Tucker quickly picks up a sword and shield and fights it off. Then another knight comes to life and begins fighting him and he defeats it by chopping its arm and head off.

Then suddenly, two mores suits of armor come to life. One of them is a Samurai and the other one is a Swiss Guard. The Swiss Guard almost nails him by throwing a spear at him, which he just manages to avoid. Tucker obtains the spear and fights off the uniform of a WWI gas mask statue. Then he outsmarts both the Swiss Guard and The Samurai by trapping them in a big net. Then to top it all off, he chased by the statue of the armor of a huge Mongolian Hun fiercely chasing him while swinging a club.

Tucker runs as fast as he can to the pedestal. He then grabs the piece of record just in time. He reads the clue on the record piece and it says: "Not all the eyes are Brown". Then when he turns around, the room is back to normal and all the armor statues are neatly back in place. He runs out of the mansion terrified. Then The Waif Kid shouts to him that he warned him and tells him that from here on, it'll only get worse. Tucker runs back home as fast as he can.

The episode ends with the message: To Be Continued.

Quinn saves Vince, by pushing him out of the way in the nick of time. Vince says he knows that The Silver Sight is after him again. Vince starts yelling at the sky for it to leave him alone, because it ruined his life. Quinn asks him since he knows about The Silver Sight, if he can help him find it. Vince just strictly advises him to leave it alone, or it'll cause him bad luck like it did for him.

Quinn then asks him if Donna ever mentioned a piece of a broken record to him. Vince freezes in his tracks and shows him her piece. He has kept it for all these years as a necklace to wear in memory of her. Quinn asks him for it, but he can't bare to part with it. Vince makes him a deal: years ago when he was recovering in the hospital he drew a portrait of Donna. This portrait was stolen by her new boyfriend, who was none other than Laing Candle. Vince promises that if he can return the portrait to him, he'll give Quinn the record piece.

In Gary's dorm room, Quinn meets with Vange and Andy working on Gary's computer. He sees the old photograph of the 1937 Midnight Society and asks which one Donna Tilton is. Andy points to the pretty blonde girl. Quinn thanks him and borrows the photograph to help him track down the portrait.

Quinn heads over to General Laing's estate and knocks on the door but gets no answer. The door opens and The Waif Kid addresses him by his name. He is stumped about how he already knows his name. The Waif Kid says he knows lots of things such as looking for the portrait and leads him inside. Here he gets lost and wanders around checking various rooms.

Then he gets startled as he bumps into Tucker. They are both shocked to see each other in the same place and wonder what they are both doing there. Quinn takes the portrait off The General's wall and compares it the 1937 photograph and asks Tucker if it's Donna Tilton. Tucker confirms to him that it is. So Quinn leaves with the picture. Tucker says he can't just take it, but Quinn says yes he can because it doesn't belong to The General and he will explain later.

When Quinn is on his way out, he's startled to bump into The Waif Kid again. So he asks him to stop sneaking up on him. The Waif Kid tells him if he doesn't stop, soon he'll look like the picture. Quinn looks at Donna's portrait and suddenly it changes into a skull. He freaks out and drops it. When he picks it up, it is normal again, the Waif Kid is gone and he leaves.

When she's quickly stopped by the son Jim, who is more than willing to help her. Because he doesn't want to live in sewers, and if destroying The Silver Sight can change that, then who wouldn't help her? Jim advises her to come back later when his father has calmed down.

Megan meets with her friends at Gary's dorm room. Andy complains that she's stinks. So Megan sprays herself with some perfume. Tucker then shows her the 1937 Midnight Society picture that The General gave to him and he expresses disgust that she stinks.

Gary asks how Andy and Vange are doing. Andy explains their having difficulty. They've checked the library, searched the web and called places but they can't find any record of Bruce McGorrill. Gary encourages them to keep trying, because they're bound to find something if they keep trying. He asks her how many pieces have already been found. She tells him that it isn't his concern. The General says he can make her tell him. Megan thinks since he's in a wheelchair he's bluffing. So he asks if he going to run her over. The suddenly, The General stands up revealing that he can still walk after all. Then he begins chasing after her. The General chases her all the way down a long dark tunnel. When she cuts him off, he yells to her to leave things to him and to just go home because it's too dangerous.

Megan finds herself in a dark tunnel, and she hears a child calling for help. She finds The Waif Kid with his foot stuck in the train tracks. She tries her best to help pull his foot out, but it's really jammed in there. Also to make matters worse, a train is coming along! The Waif Kid frees himself, and tells her to leave The Silver Sight alone or she might get hurt and then vanishes.

Then Megan watches in terror as the train comes right at her and she braces herself, only for it pass through as just an illusion. She slowly catches her breath, and stops by the Gregory's hideout. There she finds an envelope from Jim asking her to please help them. The envelope contains their piece of the broken record. It reads: "It's a race that has no winners".

Gary asks how Andy and Vange are doing. Andy explains their having difficulty. They've checked the library, searched the web and called places but they can't find any record of Bruce McGorrill. Gary encourages them to keep trying, because they're bound to find something if they keep trying. Then suddenly Gary gets a distressing phone call from his Grandma. Then he Tucker rush over to help her.

He sees the old photograph of the 1937 Midnight Society, and asks who Donna Tilton is. Andy points to the pretty blonde girl. Quinn thanks him and borrows the photograph to help him track down the portrait and takes off.

Andy gets frustrated from searching the internet for hours and claims that Bruce McGorrill couldn't have just vanished without a trace. Vange tells him that since the guy has been dead for over fifty years, it's obviously pretty hard to track down information about him. Vange tells them they searched the net, called the town hall, the schools and the hospitals and there is nowhere else to look. Then suddenly Andy realizes they haven't checked everywhere. He takes out the phone book. They're shocked to find another B McGorrill in the phone book. They find out he lives at the Playland Amusement Park.

They arrive at Playland Amusement Park. Vange goofs around looking into the warping mirrors. Then suddenly, she passes by the fortune teller's booth. The Waif Kid is inside of it. The Waif Kid calls her by name, and asks her if she'd like to have her fortune told. When Vange hears this, she's freaked out that he knows her name. Then Andy tells her they need to get going. When suddenly he gets startled bumping into an elderly man. The elderly man is very nice and friendly. So he apologizes for startling them. The man says that he's Bob McGorrill: Bruce McGorrill's brother. Bob has a good feeling why they've come over to see him. So he tells them he's been waiting a long time for them, practically ever since his brother died.

Bob explains that his brother Bruce always loving having fun and a good time. He explains that his Brother was just a teenager when somehow he purchased the entire amusement park, becoming one of the youngest amusement park owners in the world. When he died, he passed the ownership over to him. Bob says he knows he should retire by now, but having the amusement park makes him feel as if Bruce is still alive. Bob then shows him the huge roller coaster, which was Bruce's favorite ride. Then one day, he climbed up to fix a cable, and he slipped and fell to the ground and died. Bob had a feeling that it was no accident, because he knew that ride like the back of his hand. Bob had a feeling that someone or something pushed Bruce and he fell.

Bob explains to them that many years ago, his brother and his friends came across something very dangerous. Bruce hid it so they wouldn't get hurt, and he feels it had something to do with his death. Andy then mentions to Bob that they came to get something. Then Bob leads the way. Bob tells them his brother told him someday, somebody would come looking for it. Also to only give it to more than one person who wanted it at a time. Bob opens an ashtray post, inside there is a rope attached to a leather pouch. Inside the pouch is worn out piece of paper.

Andy and Vange are confused when they look at it, Bob says it's a riddle, because his brother was a riddle man who loved riddles, jokes and puzzles and laughs. Bob is surprised because the map instructs them to go #429 32nd street which was the house they grew up in. Bob doesn't know what the picture means. Still he has a hunch they will find what they're looking for in his old family home. Before they leave he wishes them luck and to be careful. Andy realizes the house is near his, so they decide to call Gary to say they're on the way. Vange stops to tie her shoe, when she looks up she can see The Waif Kid high up in the air standing in the Ferris wheel. He gives her a disapproving nod and then he vanishes.

Andy and Vange arrive at #429 32nd St., the small house is old, run down and by the looks of things nobody lives there, possibly it's condemned. Vange complains because they have the hardest assignment, but suddenly Andy figures the map out. The map is a drawing of the outdoor well. Andy figures out that Bruce must have hidden his piece of the record somewhere inside the well. Vange reluctantly agrees to go into the bucket. So Andy slowly lowers herself down to check which brick it's hidden in.

Then suddenly, she panics as she hears a vicious growling sound coming from the bottom. Vange panics and cries to Andy for help, he tells her to just hurry. Vange quickly finds where the piece is hidden and calls out to Andy that she found it and to pull her up. Then suddenly, a frightening growling ghost at the bottom of the well begins growling and slowly reaches up for her. Vange is terrified screaming and begging for Andy to pull her up faster. Andy tries to, but the handle gets jammed. Therefore he quickly pulls the rope up by his hands and she gets out in the nick of time. They check the record piece and this one says: "Know your true enemy".

Plot V: The Silver Sight[]

The group meets at Gary's dorm room once again. Gary tells the group that from what they've all seen, he's more than convinced they need to find The Silver Sight and destroy it. Tucker gives his friends the choice of whether or not they want to keep going and they choose to keep helping them.

Then to figure out what The Silver Sight is, Gary has glued the pieces back together and plays the record. The sound is static like and it skips a lot, but they seem to be able to make it out. The message is from Bruce McGorrill. He explains to them since they're listening to it, it's means they're working together. Which is good, because friends should always work together. He warns them to beware of The Silver Sight and not to use it, because use of it always results in evil consequences. He then advises then to keep working together as A team. Because it was the power of the team that found The demon of The Silver Sight and it'll take the power of the team to destroy it. The message concludes with Bruce advises them not to give into it's evil power. Also, to always know who their true enemy is and says good bye. They feel bad after hearing it because he died the next day.

Then to figure out where it is, they review all of their clues.

  1. Listen to the music (Gene's piece)
  2. Not all the eyes are brown (Laing's piece)
  3. It's a race that has no winners (Eleanor's piece)
  4. With many ups and downs (Donna's piece)
  5. Know your true enemy (Bruce's piece)

When reviewing the last clue, they know that they must keep an eye out for their true enemy. The one who used The Silver Sight, they realize it's obviously General Laing Candle, because he's the only one left still alive. Years ago he put Vince through all those accidents and unintentionally got Donna killed. He broke into the Gregory's hideout and dangerously chased Megan down in the sewers. He set up Tucker at his estate, and he must have been the one who broke into Gary and Tucker's Grandma's house. They are all still confused as to where the charm is. Now Andy has figured out where it might be and he leads them to Playland Amusement Park.

The six of them all head out to Playland Park late at night. Andy figures out that the answer to their clues must have something to do with the merry-go-round. Megan points out the music on the record was merry-go-round music. Andy mentions that Bruce McGorrill owned Playland. Quinn remembers one of the clues said that not all these eyes are brown. Then he starts checking all of the horses eyes, because one of them must be silver. Then they all work together checking the eyes. Then Megan comes across something peculiar, informing them all. Quinn thinks its odd because it's not silver it's blue. Having a hunch Tucker scratches it with a coin. Then the blue paint chips off and it's silver. This reveals it to be The Silver Sight.

Tucker touches it and it feels warm, almost like it's alive. Then Megan touches it with him at the same time and it glows. Then all six of them work together, all touching it with their index finger at the same time. Then it glows and instantly appears in Gary's hand. Then suddenly, the lights and music go on and the merry-go-round starts moving by itself. Then we see The Waif Kid riding it while laughing insanely.

The Waif Kid jumps off and congratulates them. He tells them he tried to scare them off, but they were just too good. So now The Silver Sight is all for them. Gary asks him what it is, The Waif Kid says it's the power to conquer. Armies have won wars with it, Kingdoms have toppled, cities have fallen and now the power is all for them. What he means, is that everyone has an enemy: a bully, a mean parent and unreasonable teacher. Basically anyone who stands between them and getting what they want. All they just need to do is tell The Silver Sight that they are their enemy. Then it will get rid of them or harm them. The Waif Kid explains he's come along to help them along the way.

Then suddenly, the lights and power abruptly go out. The General approaches them and tell them to drop it because it's too dangerous. The group is worried to see him. The Waif Kid tries to persuade Gary that he's their enemy and to use it on him. The General tries to convince him that The kid is a demon who isn't trying to help them. The General explains that he's just there to capture souls. The charm may get rid of your enemies, but their souls get trapped forever inside the evil charm strengthening its power.

Gary snaps at The General because he was the traitor, who used it in the first place. The General defensively reveals that it wasn't just him, they all used. It made Donna popular, Eleanor rich, Helped Bruce buy the amusement part. What he used it for is not mentioned (possibly for his strength and bravery to serve in the war). The General reveals that they all used it, but they didn't know it was evil until it was too late. Also even Grandpa Gene used it.

Tucker refuses to believe him, and The Waif Kid once again tries to persuade him to use the charm on him. Gary demands to know what happened to their grandfather. The General reveals that he was a good man, he tried to find the charm and destroy it himself. Then something scared him and the shock was too much and he died. What he means is that he was attacked by The Waif Kid (who The General refers to as a demon). The Waif Kid tries to convince him that he's just an innocent kid, and The General was the one who broke into their Grandma's house.

The General gets emotional, saying he was just trying to find the clues first and protect them all. He desperately asks Gary to give him the charm, but Gary doesn't what he should do. That is until Quinn reminds him that they need to know who their true enemy is. Then suddenly Grandma Aggie, Mr. Gregory, Vince and Bob have all shown up. Grandma Aggie is very concerned and cries out to him. Megan reminds him that whatever happens, they're all in this together as a group.

Gary then interrogates The General. He tells him that he lied to them from the start, broke into his Grandma's house and nearly got Megan killed. The General says it was because he was just trying to protect them and he was only looking for the clues first. Gary tells him that he should just told them the truth. The General was worried if he did, then they wouldn't have believed him.

When overhearing all of this, The Waif Kid keeps taunting and encouraging Gary to use the charm on The General, getting very pushy. Gary then says that he knows who the true enemy is and he's going to stop him. The Waif Kid laughs insanely. Then the General trembles in fear as Gary begins to say who it is. Then suddenly he faces The Waif Kid telling him the true enemy is him!

The charm levitates and glows, The Waif Kid is shocked, screaming that he can't do that. Then he begins screaming and aging as he loses his powers. Then rapidly all of the souls captured throughout time escape from the charm and attack The Waif Kid as he ages away to nothing and vanishes in a flash.

Then suddenly, the lights and music come back. Then the merry-go-round begins moving again. This time the souls of many people from different period of time are happily riding the merry-go-round. It is almost as if they are celebrating being free at last. Then it stops and they all disappear. Gary explains The Silver Sight disappeared. When it lost all the souls, it lost it's power. He knew The Waif Kid was their true enemy, because if he wasn't, he never would have asked him to use the charm in the first place.

Then over to the side, The General is sitting down shamefully for his recent behavior. Gary tells him it'll be all right and they can all just go home now. The General is pleased and tells him that his grandfather would have been proud of him. Vange asks Gary if this ends the story now, and he says it does. Then on their way out, Grandpa Gene's soul quickly appears and waves goodbye to him.

Back to 1937, Gene ends his story. He says that The Demon Boy never trapped another soul, because The Silver Sight was destroyed forever. Eleanor compliments him saying it was a good story and he thanks her. Gene asks Laing to put out the campfire. Laing says he can't because he's in a hurry. Bruce nicely agrees to do it and puts it out. Donna asks Gene if anything like that could ever really happen to them. Gene tells her not in a million years and they all go home.
